What to do

Simply have a friend hold each corner of a tabloid size sheet of newspaper. Make sure you don't hold it out in front of your belly or you may get punched.

Stand in Zenkutsu and do a reverse punch or an Oi-tsuki lunge punch . Its important not to change the form of the punch you have been taught. Its not about punching harder but punching smarter. Natural speed with perfect form has far more force than a crazy hard punch with no direction.

Keep your elbow directly behind your wrist, and rotate your fist at the end of the punch and not at the beginning. Make sure your body weight shifts forward with the punch. Direct all your energy straight through the target.
